Cleaning wipes are used to clean surfaces and utensils that come into contact with food or germs. These wipes consist of pre-moistened fabric towelettes that contain disinfectants and may include other ingredients such as perfumes or preservatives. They are available in individual packages or bulk rolls and can be dispensed from a container or dispenser. They are easy to use and convenient because they eliminate the need to mix cleaning solution and water or other liquids. They also reduce the likelihood of human error that could result from mixing and diluting disinfectants by hand.

Disinfectant and antibacterial wipes are a household staple and are commonly found in bathrooms, kitchens and work spaces. These wipes are designed to remove and trap powerful germs, reducing the spread of dangerous viruses like Covid-19. They are more effective and easier to use than sprays or towels because they are one-step cleaning products.

Household cleaning wipes are made of a variety of fabrics and have varying quality levels and prices. The least expensive are cellulose wipes, which are made from cotton, wood pulp or rayon fibers that have been formed into sheets and then treated with binders or glues to hold them together. The next level up is mill end fabric, which can be loaded with permanent press chemicals, dyes and stain-resisters that can increase contamination issues. The highest quality wipes are washed diaper fabric, which is soft and strong but can be expensive.

These wipes are great for removing food and grease from cars and other vehicles as well as for wiping down counters and other hard surfaces in the home. They are typically lint-free and have a soft feel, making them gentle enough to be used around kids and pets. They are heavy-duty and have a high level of absorbency, meaning they can take up to 10 times their weight in liquid. They can be scented with mild cleaning solutions to help create a pleasant smell, and they are usually available in a large size that is suitable for most applications.

Most manufacturers of disinfectant and antibacterial wipes offer eco-friendly options. These are made of a more environmentally friendly material, and they are often dispensed in a cardboard box instead of a plastic bottle. They are softer than traditional wipes and can be composted when they're used up. They are also more cost-effective because they can be purchased in large quantities and dispensed at a lower rate per sheet.

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and monkeypox outbreak, there has been a spike in the demand for sanitizing wipes. This has led to a shortage in major brand names such as Lysol and Clorox, and many consumers are turning to smaller producers who are producing their own line of disinfectant wipes. Nice-Pak is a notable example, and they recently introduced a new sanitizing product that kills Covid-19 germs without the need for harsh chemical cleaners. It's called Nice 'N Clean Kitchen Sanitizer and will be available soon.
